Super Bowl In Indy
Wow, what a week it has been in our fair city!
We are all having a blast and up until Friday, we couldn’t have asked for better weather, most days being in the 50′s and 60′s with sunny skies.
Everyone and their Mother (and Father!) is in town for the big game.
We rolled out the Red Carpet for them too.
Indianapolis has transformed itself these past two weeks and it is absolutely beautiful.
I could not be more proud of being a resident here right now.
The A-listers have been having a great time, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, George Clooney, Steven Tyler, Carrie Underwood (btw, if you didn’t catch these last two on CMT Crossroads last night, you missed a really great show)
Of course, Madonna is here to do the Super Bowl Halftime Show, however, she is staying in Chicago because, evidently, our accomodations are not up to her standards.
What about our own 5 Star Conrad?
We had about 200,000 Downtown last night, filling up the seats at the Pacers game, watching the concerts, hanging out, drinking and partying HARD…:).
You have never seen anything like it, unless you have been to a Super Bowl city.
We have had nothing but pure and positive praise for our efforts. Everyone, including the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell. He has really been enjoying himself as well.
Personally, I only went downtown this past Wednesday afternoon, trying to soak up some of the atmosphere.
My buddy and I really had a great time for about 3 hours, even though we couldn’t ride the zipline…:)
I can only imagine some of the money being made around here. I know a guy that leased his parking lot for $175,000 for the week.
Yep, you read that right! 175 Grand!
Suites at Lucas Oil Stadium are going for un-godly prices, so are hotel rooms, (how about a room at the Dollar Inn for $1600.00?
I’m really happy for the business owners downtown though, as they are really the ones that will be benefiting from all of this, God knows we needed this influx of cash.
So, I will be hosting a small gathering to watch the game tonight and I’m really looking forward to seeing the new commercials, as they are always the highlight of the evening.
Ok, besides the game…:)
Go Giants!!!!!!!!!!!
